The predicted salary is between 15 - 22 £ per hour.
Due to business expansion, our client is looking for a permanent CNC Programmer Setter, someone who has experience in Citizen and Miyano. You will be working in a fast-paced environment for a leading engineering company in Olbury.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate Citizen Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC lathes (L20s, L32s – including LFV)
- Set and operate Miyano Fixed Head CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
- Program CNC machines for new jobs using existing G-code templates
- Change tips, drills, tools, and inserts to maintain machine performance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Perform first-off inspections and measure parts using vernier calipers, micrometres
- Follow production job card system and maintain production documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter, CNC Operator, or Sliding Head Setter
- Strong knowledge of Citizen sliding head or fixed head lathes and Miyano fixed head lathes
- Competence with Fanuc controls and ability to edit and optimise G-code
- Ability to work with tight tolerances across a variety of metals
- Good understanding of precision engineering and lean manufacturing principles
Working Monday – Friday 7.00am – 4.00pm
Pay £18-£*****ph dependent on experience – (Bonus Twice a year)
