Winner Recruitment is working with a leading steel manufacturing business in Rotherham to recruit a CAD & Process Planning Supervisor. This is a key role within the profiles division, managing the CAD team and overseeing the full process planning of all profile works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise work streams in and out of CAD to ensure efficient nesting and machine utilisation
  • Lead the CAD team, optimising plate usage, minimising waste, and prioritising off-cuts
  • Communicate with Sales and Production regarding stock levels, grades, and urgent orders
  • Plan throughput and nesting schedules to maximise efficiency and meet deadlines
  • Challenge production on output, OEE, and throughput where necessary
  • Report and communicate effectively with Operations and Site Directors
  • Manage staff workflows, leave, and shift patterns
  • Attend production and operations meetings to plan and reprioritise urgent or difficult jobs
  • Support nesting of complex or urgent orders when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a process planning or management role, ideally within steel or manufacturing
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Proficient in Sigma Nest and AS400 (or similar)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent planning, reporting, and organisational skills
  • Ability to balance customer requirements with production capacity
