How to prepare for a job interview at Winner Recruitment

✨Know Your SEN Basics

Before heading into the interview, brush up on your knowledge of special educational needs (SEN). Understand the different types of needs, especially autism and complex needs, as this will show your potential employer that you're prepared and genuinely interested in supporting these students.

✨Showcase Your Classroom Management Skills

Be ready to discuss your experience with classroom management. Think of specific examples where you've successfully managed behaviour or created an inclusive environment. This is crucial for a Cover Supervisor role, so highlight your strategies and how they benefited the students.

✨Prepare Questions for Them

Interviews are a two-way street! Prepare thoughtful questions about the school's approach to SEN and how they support their staff. This not only shows your interest but also helps you gauge if the school is the right fit for you.

✨Bring Your Adaptability to the Forefront

In your interview, emphasise your adaptability and reliability. Share examples of times when you've had to adjust quickly to new situations or lesson plans. Schools value staff who can think on their feet, especially in dynamic environments like SEN settings.
