Are you an experienced School Caretaker looking for a new opportunity in West Bromwich? Winner Education are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in West Bromwich. This is a temporary, full-time position starting in September on a long-term placement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Opening and locking the school premises
- Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
- Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and secure at all times
- Conducting regular health and safety checks
- Setting up classrooms, halls, and other areas for school activities
- Monitoring and reporting any maintenance issues
- Managing deliveries and site security
- Supporting the school with general site duties as required
The successful School Caretaker will have:
- Previous experience working as a School Caretaker or in a similar maintenance role
- Basic DIY and maintenance skills
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
