We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to transport goods efficiently and professionally while maintaining high standards of compliance, customer service, and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 vehicles (tractor-trailers, articulated lorries) for local, regional, or long-haul routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any mechanical issues
  • Load and unload cargo while ensuring proper load security and weight distribution
  • Maintain accurate records including delivery documents, logbooks, and timesheets
  • Adhere to company policies, highway laws, and industry regulations (e.g., Hours of Service, tachograph use)
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse teams
  • Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods
  • Keep vehicle clean and well-maintained
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 (Category CE) drivers licence
