Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity supporting children with additional needs in a primary school setting? Winner Education are currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant on behalf of a welcoming primary school based in Birmingham (B8). The school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support a pupil on a full-time basis starting immediately.

This role is ideal for candidates who have previous experience supporting children with SEN including ASD, ADHD or speech and language difficulties. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom. The role is Monday to Friday, full time, and is expected to continue on a long-term basis.

The successful 1:1 SEN Support Assistant will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with SEN needs
  • Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Support learning and engagement in lessons
  • Have a patient and nurturing approach
  • Possess a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Be comfortable supporting children with additional emotional and learning needs
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be passionate about helping children reach their full potential
