Are you looking for Learning Support Practitioner opportunities in Birmingham? Winner Education are recruiting a Learning Support Practitioner on behalf of one of our schools based in Tipton. Applicants must be readily available due to the urgency of the position. The role is full time and long term. You must also hold a minimum Level 3 qualification and have experience in supporting primary age pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Be actively involved in daily routines of classes, groups or individual learners
  • Deliver, monitor and record pupil educational programmes, both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Assess and report individual learner progresses as appropriate
  • Prepare materials and resources for lessons
  • Assist in creating a stimulating learning environment for all learners
  • Provide a high standard of physical and emotional care
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Support the transition of learners into school including working between home and school

The successful Learning Support Practitioner will:

  • Be patient in dealing with children with learning difficulties, poor language skills and challenging behaviour patterns
  • Demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to work co-operatively with all teaching staff and LSA's
  • Liaise with medical staff to meet the needs of the pupils
  • Have previous experience working with KS1 and KS2 children
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
