Are you looking for primary teaching assistant opportunities in Coventry? Winner Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant for a primary school based in Coventry. This school has a brilliant reputation for both its staff and pupils. Applicants must be readily available due to the urgency of the position. The role is full time, on a long-term placement. This role will require a mixture of general classroom support and 1:1 support for two KS1 classes.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for KS1 pupil
  • Support class teacher in preparing and tailoring learning materials based on learner requirements
  • Provide general classroom support
  • Phonics support
  • Monitor pupil progress and communicate progress with main class teacher
  • Liaise with school SENCO and teacher in reviewing EHCP
  • Regular communication with pupils' parents

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have previous experience working with KS1 children
  • Be required to work as a team member
  • Have a passion for developing children and encouraging independence
  • Need to have a friendly and positive persona
  • Require a strong understanding and knowledge of safeguarding
