Are you an experienced PE Teacher looking for work in Birmingham? Winner Education are seeking a qualified PE Teacher for a specialist education centre in the Central Birmingham area. This role is full time and will be long term until the end of the academic year, you must be readily available due to the urgency to fill this position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality PE lessons using the national curriculum
  • Work alongside the Curriculum Lead in tailoring lesson plans based on learner requirements
  • Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
  • Create a stimulating learning environment
  • Support KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Conduct informal assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
  • Run extra-curricular sports activities
  • Work in partnership with Curriculum Lead and Pastoral team to ensure each pupil is meeting their targets and potential
  • Provide excellent communication with parents when required

The successful PE Teacher must:

  • Be a deeply caring and passionate person
  • Have extensive sports experience and background
  • Have previous sports coaching experience
  • QTS/Sports qualification (not essential)
  • Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
  • Have previous experience working in a SEN school or Alternative Provision
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of children with behavioural challenges and SEMH
  • Have strong resilience and patience
  • Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
  • Good classroom and behaviour management
