Winner Education are working with a secondary school in the Great Barr area who are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their usual teacher.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on their work
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Support the wider school team where required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a UK secondary school as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role
- Confident managing classrooms across a range of subjects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- The ability to work independently and adapt to different classroom environments
- A degree or relevant education experience is desirable but not essential
