Are you a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor looking for full-time work in Chester (CH3)? Winner Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across SEN schools and specialist provisions in the CH3 area. The role involves supporting SEN pupils aged 7β19, including students with autism and complex needs. These positions are to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes using pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
- Support SEN pupils across KS3 and KS4
- Maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide 1:1 or small group support where required
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation in learning
- Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress or behaviour
- Attend staff briefings or meetings when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a secondary or SEN school setting
- Confident with classroom and behaviour management
- Experience supporting SEN, autism, or complex needs is desirable
- Adaptable, reliable, and proactive
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- QTS is desirable but not essential
