A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our Bradford production team in the position of Assembly Team Leader.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembly Team Leader will act as a key member of the production senior leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing the assembly process. This will require the successful candidate to problem solve and ensure the assembly team operates efficiently while adhering to compliance and quality assurance standards.

Key tasks and accountabilities are as follows:

  • Oversee production within the assembly team, ensuring workflows are smooth, all relevant records are maintained, transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner, and the production schedule is achieved.
  • Ensure the team remains on track, reporting progress and issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Issue work orders, setting up and organizing the assembly line to maintain smooth production.
  • Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure the flow of raw material and finished goods between the warehouse and assembly is maintained effectively.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor and Continuous Improvement Manager in developing and implementing improvement methods.
  • Identify areas of improvement and develop initiatives to enhance team performance and business benefits.
  • Maintain high levels of team engagement, ensuring team compliance with company policies and standards.

This list is not exhaustive and the postholder may be required to undertake additional tasks for which they are able to undertake.

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Experience managing a small team in a manufacturing/production setting.
  • Strong communication, motivational, and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent supervisory skills and the ability to engage and motivate staff.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.

It is important applicants demonstrate the ability to consistently strive for optimal performance in all processes, maintain compliance and quality standards consistently and set an example as to how to collaborate effectively within the team and with other departments.
