Department: Contested Litigation - Personal Injury

We are on the lookout for highly motivated and confident candidates to join our Contested Litigation - Personal Injury team as a Solicitor Team Leader where you would have responsibility for implementing the Principal Solicitors instructions for the conduct of litigation, and the day-to-day supervision of the individuals within your team. The primary focus is to support and enable team members to work collaboratively and individually to achieve monthly and annual KPIs.

Responsibilities
- As a Solicitor Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with the principal solicitor to ensure individual and all Team Members performance targets are met.
- Liaise with other solicitors, Team Leaders, and Senior Managers to ensure clear communication within the Team and Department.
- Ensure individual Team Members development needs are identified and addressed.
- Work collaboratively with fee earners to achieve financial and performance targets for the Department.
- Authorise the conduct of key elements of litigation for assistant fee earners.

Working Hours
This role is Full Time based on 37.5 Hours per week. The Working Pattern for this role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm. We are also fully office based in Byker, Newcastle with excellent transport links into the city centre and local parking.

Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of RTA liability, together with factual causation issues.
- Excellent knowledge of Law, Pre action Protocols, Part 7 and Part 8 Procedural Rules and Practice Directions regarding Credit Hire and Vehicle Damage losses recovery.
- Excellent knowledge of department systems and procedures.
- Ability to assist with communicating vision, strategy, and commercial awareness.
- Skills and/or experience of leading a team within a commercial environment.
- Ability to develop and motivate self and others.
