We’re expanding our high-performing Personal Injury team and are looking for motivated Legal Assistants with a strong interest in complex, life-changing personal injury claims.

Responsibilities

  • As a Legal Assistant, you will provide litigation and administrative support to serious injury fee earners.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence with increasing independence.
  • Instruct medical experts and liaise with third-party agencies and providers.
  • Manage client communication and help progress claims via the MoJ Portal or direct insurer channels.
  • Organise and obtain vital case records (e.g. medical, employment, police reports).
  • Support case preparation for hearings, conferences, and expert meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records in Proclaim and ensure SRA-compliant client care.
  • Help maximise recovery of associated costs while prioritising client outcomes.

Working Hours

This role is full-time, based on 37.5 hours per week.

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

We are also fully office-based in Byker, Newcastle.

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of serious injury litigation procedures (Part 7, MoJ Portal, and Part 8 processes).
  • Experience supporting or progressing personal injury claims.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow within a legal team.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • ·Commitment to teamwork, compliance, and client service excellence.
  • Proficiency in case management systems (Proclaim experience desirable).
