We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our HR team as an HR & Recruitment Assistant on a 9-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).
In this role, you will support department heads with their recruitment needs and assist the wider HR team in delivering a range of HR services.

Responsibilities
- As an HR & Recruitment Assistant, you will be responsible for providing recruitment and resourcing support to Winn Group.
- Source candidates using a variety of methods with a focus on social media, online job boards and networking.
- Support Department Heads/Managers with the interview process, ensuring feedback is provided to unsuccessful candidates.
- Carry out group inductions to support the onboarding process.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees concerning policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers in respect of the informal performance management process.
- Ensure HR helpdesk queries are dealt with promptly.
- Provide support with tasks in the absence of the team.

Competitive base salary of £14.24 per hour , based on 40 hours per week.

Working Hours
This role is Full Time based on 40 hours per week. (35 or 37.5 hour working week will also be considered).
We are also fully office based in Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Skills and Experience
- CIPD Qualified minimum Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding.

- Confidential, discreet and diplomatic approach.
- Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives.
- Experience in demonstrating effective teamwork within a commercial environment.
- Cooperative and flexible approach.

- Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
