At Teconnex our Keighley plant seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Electrical/Mechanical to work our late shift.

Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm | Friday 11:30am-5:30pm. We can flex to a rotation shift with both: Monday to Thursday 05:30-14:00 and Friday 05:30-11:30.

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Maintenance & Engineering department within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with maintenance engineers, production operatives, production engineers and management to maximise productivity and minimise downtime across plant and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support planned maintenance and maximise equipment uptime
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), shutdown work, and scheduled installations
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial machinery and equipment
  • Support installation and improvement work on equipment such as presses, robots, conveyors and bespoke machinery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality and productivity
  • Work safely and compliantly, following regulations, manuals, schematics, blueprints and specifications

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • GCSEs including English, Maths and technical subjects
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • City & Guilds (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Competent with tools and maintenance equipment
  • Confident using computers and operating systems

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of power presses / forming processes
  • PLC knowledge and ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
