We are looking for an exceptional, high-potential technology leader to join Wingstop UK & Ireland at a pivotal stage of growth. Role Overview

The Head of Technology will lead and implement Wingstop UK & Ireland’s technology strategy, building a scalable, integrated, product-led ecosystem that supports both commercial growth and operational excellence. Technology is a core commercial lever at Wingstop. This role will directly influence customer conversion, average transaction value (ATV), frequency, and customer lifetime value, while also ensuring reliable and scalable restaurant technology operations across a growing estate. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, balancing innovation with operational robustness in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy & Roadmap
    • Lead and implement a clear, ambitious technology strategy aligned to business growth objectives
    • Build and manage a focused, high-impact roadmap with strong prioritisation
    • Design scalable technology solutions to support multi-site, multi-channel operations and future international expansion
  • Product & Digital Growth
    • Optimise the digital ecosystem including delivery platforms, web, CRM, loyalty, and customer engagement tools
    • Drive measurable improvements in conversion, basket size, customer frequency, and digital performance
    • Support the delivery of high-impact digital initiatives and partnerships
  • Restaurant Technology & IT Operations
    • Own and ensure performance of all in-restaurant technology including POS, payments, kitchen systems, and connectivity
    • Manage and maintain the menu change process across the estate
    • Deliver stable, reliable operations across all sites, particularly during peak trading periods
    • Minimise downtime and operational disruption through proactive management and strong support processes
    • Improve operational efficiency through enhanced systems integration and order flow management
    • Partner closely with operations teams to ensure technology supports real-time operational excellence
  • Commercial & Business Impact
    • Translate technology investment into measurable commercial outcomes
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience through technology
    • Support wider business growth through data-driven decision making and strategic technology implementation
  • Ecosystem, Governance & Delivery
    • Manage key vendors, platforms, MSPs, and integration partners
    • Maintain ownership of technology strategy while ensuring high-quality delivery across projects and operations
    • Balance speed, cost, scalability, and operational effectiveness across all investments
    • Manage technology budgets and investment planning
    • Oversee data compliance, cyber security, and GDPR strategy alongside external specialist partners
    • Lead disaster recovery planning and operational resilience initiatives
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a senior leader across the business, partnering closely with operations, marketing, growth, and leadership teams
    • Translate complex technology concepts into clear, commercially focused narratives
    • Drive adoption and engagement across business functions
    • Lead and develop a high-performing technology team across multiple disciplines
    • Work collaboratively with the wider WRI technology team

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience within a top-tier consultancy, digital product environment, or high-growth consumer business
  • Evidence of accelerated progression and high performance within previous roles
  • Strong commercial mindset with a clear understanding of how technology drives revenue and operational efficiency
  • Experience managing technology within a multi-site operational environment
  • Strong structured problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Experience of ITIL, ITSM, and ITAM frameworks
  • Experience creating and implementing Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale technology projects with budgets exceeding £500k
  • Hands-on technical understanding with the ability to balance strategy and execution
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational capability with the ability to operate effectively at pace
  • Reliable, flexible, and highly collaborative approach

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience within hospitality, retail, QSR, or other high-volume consumer-facing businesses
  • Experience working across digital product, loyalty, CRM, or e-commerce ecosystems
  • Experience scaling technology functions within fast-growth businesses
  • Exposure to international or multi-market operational environments
