We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Finance Analyst to support our commercial and operational teams by delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insights that drive business performance and support our ambitious growth plans.
Role Overview
The Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role within the Commercial Finance function, supporting operational and commercial stakeholders with accurate reporting, data analysis, and financial insights. This role will focus on maintaining and developing operational reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing data-driven insight to support decision making across the business. Working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and wider leadership teams, the role will contribute to improving operational performance, identifying opportunities, and ensuring strong financial visibility as Wingstop continues to grow across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce analysis on sales performance, labour productivity, and operational trends to support performance management across the estate.
- Deliver clear, accurate reporting to operations and finance teams to enable effective decision making.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support commercial initiatives, operational reviews, and strategic projects.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining financial models and supporting planning cycles.
- Support the collection, validation, and analysis of financial data for business planning.
- Identify performance risks and opportunities through data analysis and insight generation.
- Maintain and improve existing reporting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support the development of new dashboards and reporting tools alongside the Commercial Finance Manager.
- Maintain and support operational reporting systems including Fourth and Power BI where required.
- Track performance of commercial initiatives such as upsell programmes and operational improvement projects.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in a financial analysis or similar financial analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large datasets.
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Curious, proactive mindset with a desire to understand operational drivers of performance.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within retail, hospitality, or QSR environments.
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Experience working in commercial performance, data analytics, or business intelligence roles.
