How to prepare for a job interview at Wingstop - Head Office

Know Your Numbers

As a Group Financial Accountant, you'll need to demonstrate your strong technical accounting knowledge. Brush up on IFRS standards, especially IFRS 16 lease accounting, and be ready to discuss how you've applied these in previous roles. This shows you’re not just familiar with the theory but can also implement it practically.

Showcase Your Experience

Prepare specific examples from your past work that highlight your experience with financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers, making it easy for the interviewers to see your impact in previous roles.

Communicate Clearly

You’ll be working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, so practice explaining complex financial concepts in simple terms. During the interview, focus on clear communication and ensure you can articulate your thoughts without jargon, demonstrating your ability to bridge the gap between departments.

Embrace the Culture

Wingstop values teamwork and energy, so show your enthusiasm for their mission of 'BRING THE FLAVOUR'. Research the company culture and be prepared to discuss how your personal values align with theirs. This will help you stand out as a candidate who fits well within their dynamic team.
