Area of Business: Cutters Wharf
Purpose
Under the general direction of the Head Chef, and within the limits of established procedures, to prepare and cook food to the standards set and to maintain the cleanliness of the Kitchen.
Responsibilities
- To adhere to all standards established in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all foods
- To ensure that goods are stored in the correct conditions and that stock rotation is carried out correctly
- To maintain the hygiene of the kitchen at all times in food storage, preparation and cooking
- To clean food production areas, equipment and utensils
- To ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance is maintained at all times
- Any other duties relevant and related to the post
Educational qualifications
Educated to secondary level standard. Food Safety Level 1 is preferable.
Skills and Experience
- No previous cheffing experience is necessary
- Previous kitchen experience is preferable
- Enthusiastic and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Team player
