Windwhistle School Te Uru Miro is a rural primary school educating learners from Y0 to Y6, situated in beautiful mid-Canterbury. Our kura is the heart of the community and benefits from strong whānau and local support. Originally opened in 1935, our school has a proud history of being the central focus of its farming community.

We are seeking a New Zealand registered kaiako with a sense of fun and adventure! This is a permanent part-time position at 0.4 FTTE (two days per week), with the possibility of increasing to 0.5 FTTE for the right applicant. Specific working days can be negotiated (i.e., full or half days). The role combines principal release (0.3 FTTE – Y4–6) and classroom release (0.1 FTTE – Y0–3). There may also be opportunities for additional relief hours as needed.

We’re looking for someone flexible and adaptable, with strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities both inside the classroom and through EOTC experiences.
