Job Description
Windward is a maritime AI leader helping governments and enterprises navigate risk, compliance, and geopolitical uncertainty across global trade. Our platform transforms massive unstructured datasets into real-time, actionable insights. From intercepting dark fleet tankers to predicting supply chain disruptions, we enable confident, data-driven decisions.
We are looking for a Product Manager with a passion for early-stage product exploration and a strong foundation in logistics or supply chain operations. This role is tailor-made for someone who thrives on discovering customer pain points, validating new ideas quickly, and translating opportunity into impact—with a sharp focus on how GenAI can drive transformation in container logistics.
You will report to Windward's Supply Chain Director of Product, work closely with our customers and the sales team to uncover operational inefficiencies in day-to-day workflows and explore how GenAI can be used to solve them. You’ll also collaborate with other experienced product managers to shape the vision, align priorities, and ensure consistent execution across the product organization.
This is a critical, high-impact role with direct influence on Windward’s strategic direction in generative AI.
What will you do?
- Lead product discovery for GenAI-driven innovation in container logistics, identifying use cases with the potential for operational transformation.
- Partner directly with customers, sales, and domain experts to uncover inefficiencies in day-to-day workflows—particularly those ripe for GenAI intervention.
- Conduct market research and structured interviews to validate ideas and uncover whitespace—analyzing industry trends, competitive solutions, and evolving customer expectations across logistics and supply chain domains.
- Design and run rapid experiments to test product hypotheses, leveraging prototypes and zero-to-one thinking to shape direction.
- Distill exploration learnings into early-stage product specs and influence strategic bets on Windward’s GenAI roadmap.
Who are you?
- 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on B2B SaaS or data-driven platforms
- Expertise with logistics, supply chain, or container shipping- either from direct industry experience or by building products for these domains
- Proven track record in early-stage product discovery, bringing new products from zero to one, including user research, opportunity sizing, and hypothesis testing
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Strong communication and facilitation skills—you can engage directly with customers and sales teams, lead discussions, and align stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset, with experience working as part of a larger product team and co-owning initiatives
- Curiosity and working knowledge of generative AI, with a desire to explore its real-world applications
- Highly analytical and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Fluent English (spoken and written); other European languages – an advantage.
