At Windsor Olympus Academy, we are committed to delivering high-quality careers education that empowers every student to make informed, ambitious choices about their future. In line with the government’s Careers Strategy, we strive to meet all 8 Gatsby Benchmarks to ensure our students receive comprehensive and impactful careers guidance.
We believe that careers education should start early and be built into every stage of a student’s journey with us. All year groups follow a structured careers programme that raises aspirations, builds employability skills, and helps students understand the routes available to achieve their goals—whether through university, apprenticeships, employment, or further training.
Our programme includes employer encounters, workplace visits, career talks, and personal guidance, helping students link their learning to the world of work. Throughout the academic year, a wide range of external speakers and organisations visit the academy to inspire and advise our students, broadening their understanding of the careers landscape and future opportunities.
This page and our careers programme are reviewed annually to ensure they remain effective, up to date, and aligned with the needs of our students.
At key milestones throughout the students’ education, support, advice and guidance will be provided to ensure realistic and informed decisions are made. We cover everything from GCSE/vocational options, work experience placements and apprenticeship choices. It is our aim to help and guide every child in the direction of their choice and assist them in getting there, whether it is researching career opportunities, applying for a job vacancy, a full time college course or apprenticeship.
