The Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Technician - Motor Vehicle to join our team at our Berkshire College of Agriculture campus on a full-time permanent basis. This full-time position involves working 37 hours per week on an all-year-round support contract at our Berkshire College of Agriculture Campus and pays on Scale G of the Support Staff Scale (G16 £24,098.00 up to G19 £26,784.00).
The position of Technician - Motor Vehicle at BCA is aimed at providing an exceptional student experience by ensuring a safe and effective practical teaching and learning environment. The role involves supporting learning through demonstrations, instruction, and supervision. The main duties include:
- Assisting in the induction of students
- Helping lecturing staff with practical demonstrations and instructions
- Preparing equipment and materials for lessons
Technicians are also expected to participate in various events such as parents' evenings, recruitment, trade events, and open days, contributing to the college's marketing efforts.
A key responsibility of the Technician - Motor Vehicle is to maintain a safe learning environment. This involves:
- Adhering to safe working practices
- Conducting risk assessments
- Ensuring the maintenance and servicing of all equipment and machinery
