Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for an Estates Maintenance Operative to join our Estates team at Slough & Langley College on a full-time basis, with travel to our Windsor and Strodes campuses as required.
This role pays on our Support Scale from I23 £30,888 up to I25 £32,706 per annum, which is dependent on experience and qualifications.
Estates Maintenance Operative As an Estates Maintenance Operative, you will provide a high-quality maintenance service, helping to ensure our buildings, grounds, equipment and learning environments are safe, secure and maintained to an excellent standard.
You will carry out a mixture of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, undertaking a broad range of practical works including carpentry and joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating, flooring, door and lock repairs and general building maintenance.
You will also support refurbishment and improvement projects across the College.
Working as part of our wider Estates team, you will carry out routine building and site inspections, respond to maintenance requests and support important health and safety and compliance activities.
You will also assist with contractors working on site, room and event setups and the general upkeep of college facilities.
We are looking for someone with good all-round maintenance and practical skills, with experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
You will be confident diagnosing faults and finding practical solutions, have a good understanding of safe working practices and be able to organise and prioritise your workload effectively.
Strong communication and customer service skills are also important, as you will work with colleagues, students, contractors and visitors across the College.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
A recognised trade qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
