Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for an Animal Management Lecturer to join our Berkshire College of Agriculture team on a full-time basis. This is a fixed term role working starting 12th August 2026 until 9th July 2027.
The role pays from T1 £31,633 up to T11 £45,341 dependent on experience and qualifications.
The successful applicant will possess the ability to deliver a diverse range of practical and theoretical subjects, including animal behaviour, biology & animal health, breeding and genetics, animal training predominantly at L3 T-level & BTEC. An understanding of business management would also be valuable but not essential.
Ideally, you will have experience teaching and assessing with various awarding bodies, such as BTEC and City and Guilds. Creativity and inclusivity are crucial, as you will be engaging with a broad range of learners. Therefore, we seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and versatile lecturer ideally with a proven track record in further education.
Alongside teaching duties, you will also take on course tutorship, requiring a full commitment to supporting students throughout their college journey and into employment or further studies.
You will need a degree in a relevant subject area such as Animal Behaviour & Welfare and Zoology as well as experience working directly with a range of animals in industry. A teaching qualification is preferred, and qualifications in assessing learning and internal verification are advantageous.
