Overview
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant – Maths to join our Slough and Langley team. This is a part-time, permanent position, requiring 15 hours a week, spread over four afternoons, Monday to Thursday. As this role is term-time only, you will work 37 weeks of the year, providing focused support to our students.
Your commitment during these afternoons will play a crucial role in helping our learners succeed in their mathematical studies, making a significant impact during your concentrated hours each week. In this role you will enable students to access the mathematics curriculum as fully as possible, supporting them to work towards their desired outcomes, achieving their learning goals and potential.
Responsibilities
- Work in a team under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and Lecturers to assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
- Support whole classes; work with individuals and small groups of learners; assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities.
- Collaborate with pastoral and welfare staff to help students overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.
