As a Lecturer in Mathematics, you will join our Ofsted rated 'Good' Colleges Group, teaching at the Berkshire College of Agriculture campus. You will work with post 16 learners, helping them develop the numerical, problem solving and analytical skills they need to succeed in GCSE or Functional Skills Maths. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that support learners with a wide range of starting points and experiences.
Working closely with Learning Support Assistants, you will adapt your teaching so that every student can take part and make progress. You will use assessment to understand where learners are, address gaps in their knowledge and help them improve over time. You will also play an important role in encouraging attendance and building learners' confidence in Maths.
We are looking for someone who cares about their subject, communicates clearly and can motivate students who may not always find English easy or enjoyable.
