The Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Foundation Tutor at Entry level 1 to join our Berkshire College of Agriculture team starting in September 2026 on a permanent, part‑time basis. The position entails delivering high‑quality teaching and assessment in specific subject areas, aimed at providing an excellent education and training experience while promoting active student learning. This role offers a permanent part‑time academic contract working 22.2 hours per week and pays on the Academic Pay Scale (T1 £18,979.80 – T11 £27,204.60).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching programmes and regularly assess student progress.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports and maintain accurate, timely student records including attendance and examination results.
- Uphold student morale and discipline in collaboration with College Management.
- Keep abreast of curriculum and syllabus developments relevant to teaching areas.
- Collaborate within the team to devise, review and enhance teaching and learning strategies.
- Support and organise extracurricular activities vital for students' career and personal development.
- Contribute to outreach and liaison work within the community and external organisations.
- Participate in the college’s appraisal and performance‑management processes and attend relevant college events such as parent evenings.
- Stay updated through professional development activities, establish industry links and attend relevant events.
- Develop or enhance existing courses and undertake course‑coordination responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant degree or Level 3 vocational qualification and a teaching qualification, with a willingness to work towards further certifications such as TAQA/A1 and V1 awards.
- Experience in teaching across various foundation levels and in SEND education.
- Ability to embed English and Maths into the curriculum.
- Proficiency in IT applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong administrative capabilities and a flexible work approach.
- Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
- Passion for teaching and learning, and commitment to the college’s Diversity & Equality, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding and data protection policies.
