Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 29.5 hours per week, specifically on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, supporting our Professional Studies students at our Slough and Langley College campus. This position is on a permanent, term-time only basis for 37 weeks of the year. The role pays from G16 Β£15,958.55 up to G19 Β£17,737.32 (full time equivalent being G16 Β£24,098 up to G19 Β£26,784).
In this role, you will support students in the Hair, Beauty, Early Years, and Health & Social Care departments to develop the skills, attributes, and behaviours needed to progress to further study and employment. You will guide them through classroom theory and help them apply this knowledge in practical, technical sessions.
Working in a team under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and Lecturers you will assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). This may include supporting whole classes; working with individuals and small groups of learners; assisting with planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities; working closely with pastoral and welfare staff in supporting students to overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.
