Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for two Learning Support Assistants to join our Apprenticeships Team. This role is primarily based at our Slough & Langley College campus, though occasional travel to the Berkshire College of Agriculture may be required. These are permanent, full time positions working 37 hours per week, all year round. The salary is on Scale G of the Support Staff pay scale, offering £25,483 (G17) up to £27,284 (G19) depending on qualifications and experience.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) within our Apprenticeships provision, you will play a vital role in helping apprentices across our programmes fully access their curriculum, develop key skills and achieve their potential. You will work closely with apprentices, tutors, assessors and employers to provide tailored learning support that enables apprentices to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to achieve their apprenticeship outcomes. Support is highly adaptable and may be delivered one-to-one or in small groups, depending on individual needs.

You will support a wide range of learners to overcome general barriers to learning by assisting with assignments, exam preparation, and the development of essential English, mathematics, and ICT skills. Alongside this, a key part of your role will involve implementing structured strategies for apprentices with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). You will bring a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping young adults and learners succeed in education or training.

Crucially, you will have experience or qualifications in supporting individuals with learning difficulties or neurodiversities, such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia. You will also need strong organisational skills, Level 2 qualifications in both English and Mathematics and a total commitment to college policies regarding Safeguarding, Equality and Data Protection.
