Windsor Food Machinery, a leading machinery, service and parts supplier in the food processing industry, is looking for a highly organised and proactive Stores Manager to join our team in Ashford, Kent. Are you an experienced and highly organized Stores Manager with a knack for efficiency and a passion for precision? We are looking for a motivated individual to lead our stores operations, ensuring seamless inventory management and exceptional service to our engineering team and customers.
Key responsibilities of the Stores Manager:
- System Implementation: Sourcing and implementing a barcode-based software system to streamline goods receipt and despatch, ensuring compatibility with our existing systems.
- Inventory Management: Overseeing stock rotation, managing slow-moving/nil-moving stock, and conducting regular stock checks/cycle counts in the stores and on engineer vans.
- Stock Replenishment: Efficiently re-stocking shelves with flight kits, critical spares, and fast-moving consumables.
- Order Fulfilment: Completing daily sales orders, including timely picking, packing, and booking of collections.
- Goods In Management: Managing all aspects of goods inwards, from booking in and inspecting items to bagging and labelling stock, often with the assistance of other staff.
- Engineer Support: Providing exceptional service by fulfilling engineers' parts requirements.
- Kitting: Accurately kitting parts via a Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Housekeeping: Maintaining impeccable stores housekeeping standards.
Skills and Experience required:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience managing a busy parts department.
- A clean driving license and the ability to commute reliably to work.
- A valid forklift license.
- Excellent computer skills.
Hours & Benefits:
- A salary of £40,000 per annum.
- Legal and General company pension scheme with a standard 3% company contribution with employees contributing 8%.
- Two discretionary bonus schemes per year, one profit related once employee has completed a full financial year, one at Christmas.
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- On site parking.
