Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Practitioner to join our Logistics team and play a key role in driving operational excellence and sustained performance improvements across our business. This role will be based at our Avonmouth site, with some flexibility to work from home on occasion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and embedding of the Nisbets Continuous Improvement (CI) Programme, facilitating structured problem-solving interventions, and coaching teams to build lasting CI capability. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to analyse performance, identify opportunities, and influence improvements that deliver measurable results. You will lead initiatives to optimise processes, improve resource management, and support the delivery of annual budgets and long-term plans.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and analytically driven individual with a strong background in lean methodologies and continuous improvement within a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support the implementation and sustainability of the Nisbets CI Programme, acting as a champion and subject matter expert.
  • Ensure compliance with CI standards through training, coaching, and performance confirmation.
  • Analyse operational performance data and conduct shop-floor observations to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate and coach problem-solving interventions, building a lasting capability within operational teams.
  • Provide reports, plans, forecasts, and budgets to optimise performance and resource management.
  • Deliver process and performance improvements aligned with annual budgets and the Five-Year Plan.
  • Carry out additional CI or operational interventions as required.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong numeracy, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities.
  • Team-leading or supervisory experience.
  • Conflict resolution and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth understanding of lean/CI tools and their application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general PC literacy.
  • Familiarity with operational data flows and processes or ability to learn quickly.
