Scope
Part of the Airframe Manufacturing and Assembly Team focussing on the ongoing production of airframe items, the installation of systems and avionics onto aircraft, and support during the commissioning process of new aircraft.
The candidate will be expected to be comfortable working within a typical aerospace or engineering assembly space as part of a larger production line for the Windracers ULTRA. They will be comfortable moving from task to task throughout the manufacturing process as part of a smaller sub team. The work will involve following standard engineering drawings and specifications, with training provided where required.
The role will involve both bench based and standing work, as well as opportunities to work away from the production facility supporting our postproduction flight operations within the UK.
Responsibilities
- Hands-onassemblyofairframecomponents, sub-assemblies,andfuel systemsfrom build packsto meet scheduled customerdemand.
- Testing and qualification ofsub-systemsfollowingstandard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Feedback of process andassemblypain points to Manufacturingand EngineeringTeams.
- Installation of avionicssystemsontoaircraft, following SOPs.
- On site support asrequiredduring installation and flight testing of new systems(within the UK).
- Continued management of workspace, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness ismaintained.
- Ensuring stock levels of consumable items under your control aremaintainedand request foradditionalconsumables made to the purchasing team.
- Assistingwithaircraftlevel system acceptance testing, whererequired.
- Documenting workcarried outto createadigitalaircraftbuild logs.
- Other responsibilities as agreed with your manager.

Skills and qualifications
- Technically capable with good logical reasoning
- Ability to adapt and learn new skills
- Good presentation and communication skills
- 3+ years hands-on experience in engineeringor manufacturingfield
- Ability to follow and give feedback on engineering drawingsor manufacturing packs
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge
- General workshoplightmachining experience
- Previousexperience with Microsoft Office Software and general computer skills
- Prior relevant industry experience (desirable)
- Experience using MCAD and ECAD tools (desirable)
- UAV industry knowledge (desirable)
Qualification Requirements
- Right to work within the UK.
- Vetting and security clearance (BPSS obtained within probation period).
