The warehouse team leader will be responsible for leading their team of warehouse operatives to achieve appropriate performance in all warehouse activities and tasks. The key delivery aspect of this role is to ensure the customer receives the correct product, the correct quantity, the correct quality, and the correct delivery time/date.
Key Accountabilities:
- Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
- Hold investigation and disciplinary meetings when required.
- Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
- Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid damage to corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
- Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ensure products are presented at the required standards.
- Ensure health and safety processes and procedures are always followed.
- Ensure adherence to agreed break times.
- Set a professional and good example to all those on site.

- Represent the workforce including raising concerns and issues.
- Represent the management team to ensure processes and procedures are followed.
- Alert relevant people to process and product concerns and/or rectify where appropriate.

- Safeguard property issued by the company.
- Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures are followed, and the workplace is safe.
- Ensure new employees and agency staff are inducted appropriately and trained to the required standard.
- Ensure the team is wearing appropriate uniform and PPE.
- Fault rectification and problem solving.
- Transfer the knowledge and skills among the team.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely, following all procedures.
- Undertake reasonable duties as and when required/as directed by a Manager.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
- Basic level of numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to use a PC to an operational level.
- Good communication skills.
- Good leadership skills including conflict management.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- IOSH managing safety.
- Previous WMS experience.
- Experience in leading a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
