Overview:

To conduct visual inspections and specified quality control tests to ensure all manufactured products adhere to agreed specifications, and all processes are compliant with the ISO9001:2015 standard. Provide regular quality patrols across all manufacturing lines, support production with guidance on quality standards and escalate any quality concerns quickly to minimise defects. Record all quality information and test results for product quality assurance, compliance, traceability, and analysis. Ensure all test equipment is accurate and calibrated. Coordinate all problem solving and process improvement activities to raise production standards for right first-time quality and customer satisfaction. Support problem solving to implement new ideas and improvements. Ensure quality standards and targets are consistently achieved. Provide effective communication across the business and fast resolution to any quality concerns raised, executing improvements quickly. Drive a Quality Excellence/improvement culture.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for carrying out visual inspections and specified quality control tests to ensure all products adhere to the agreed specification & quality plan.
  • Ensure first-off/Peel tests and shift production samples processes are managed effectively.
  • Escalate quality concerns or deviations from specification immediately to minimise defects.
  • Ensure any defective product is quarantined and support disposition actions to ensure any rework, release or scrap activities are effectively processed.
  • Ensure regular quality patrols are implemented throughout shift and across all production lines for a visible quality presence and ensure high quality standards are maintained.
  • Support best practice ‘Quality’ techniques at the shop-floor level such as standard work and mistake proofing. Key results include effective QC inspection & improving product quality.
  • Provide training and coaching in quality standards and processes as required.
  • Develop and execute new SOP’s, quality alerts and care points in production.
  • Excellent standards of Quality Control application, test & measurement, communication, personal discipline, H&S, quality, time management, problem solving and customer service.
  • Maintain Quality KPI’s to monitor improvements, promote new ideas, CI & learning.
  • Support and ensure full compliance with internal and external quality audits, ISO9001:2015 and customer specific standards.
