Head of Meeting & Events Sales-
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Meeting & Events Sales to join our group of hotels, namely the Windmill Village Hotel and Manor Hotel, working over both sites. In this dynamic and challenging role, the Head of Meeting & Events Sales will be responsible for driving and maximising the sales potential of both of our properties. Your role will be to manage all aspects of the hotels sales function; namely weddings & events, food & beverage and golf & leisure, whilst also proactively developing new business. You will also be responsible for building the properties profile within the Corporate and MICE sectors and continuing to position the properties as the hotels of choice in the local market. With a team of executives, you will support, lead and develop them to ensure revenue is maximized and budgets achieved.
This role would be ideal for a current Sales Manager who is working in the same industry, looking to gain an exciting new opportunity. In this role you must be able to manage time and resources effectively, prioritise tasks, communicate openly and clearly, be innovative and have excellent influencing skills. You will be eager, driven and enthusiastic with excellent presentation skills.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Develop interactive customer relations and be aware of any possible future requirements. Relay such information to your manager for the enhancement of customer expectation.
- Take the lead for ensuring that all site visits are fulfilled professionally, efficiently and effectively and mirror the requirements of the visiting client.
- Identify new sales leads, chase and secure the lead.
- Ensure leads are responded to in the required time and regular contact is made to the progress of each booking, encouraging maximum sales revenue for the overall profitability of the hotels.
- Foster an environment of customer service in which all team members put the guest first in every situation.
- Oversee all new business brought into the hotel as well as potential new leads for them to follow up.
- Manage the development and execution of the hotels marketing activity, including annual calendar of marketing activity and property level activation plans, briefing, budget setting, creative and execution development, media planning, and reporting.
- Be responsible for identifying channels for targeting new customers, stealing share from competitors, raising awareness of the hotels and increasing revenues.
- Direct sales and marketing efforts that align with the overall operating strategy.
- Develop sales strategies that generate consistent year-on-year growth.
- Achieve set Revenue Targets for Business (e.g. conversion ratio) as agreed and set out in the Sales Activity Plan.
- Partner across all departments in an effort to support the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes to deliver all products and services to the companys diverse brand standards.
- Evaluate each individual enquiry to maximise occupancy and revenue for M&E, G&L or Room Sales.
- Establish, maintain and develop relationships with new clients.
- Create and execute local marketing initiatives based on the needs of each department. Create and execute local advertising sales plans for each department.
- Establish, maintain and develop interactive customer / agent relations and to be aware of any possible future requirements.
- Support with initiative and commitment the overall objectives of the business in terms of revenues, costs and teamwork, whilst developing personal competency levels.
- Plan and execute online and offline marketing campaigns to drive accommodation, golf and leisure, food and beverage and event sales.
- Keep up to date with current promotions and new products. Monitor trends within the industry and make recommendations for implementation.

- Have experience of working within a hotel operation, or similar operation
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times and train others to follow a similar example
- Possess a great personality whilst being genuine, approachable, attentive & instinctive
