As our Meetings and Events Operations Manager your main responsibilities will be to lead, motivate and develop the meetings and events team; take control for the smooth and efficient operation of the department and drive the highest levels of customer service whilst ensuring that the product is delivered consistently.
You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.
Key responsibilities for the Meetings & Events Operations Manager are:
- Oversee and manage all Meetings & Events operations
- Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
- Ensure compliance of hotel brand standards
- Liaise regularly with the sales department on all ongoing and future events taking place
- Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
- Be aware of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of Meetings & Events
- Optimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areas for action
- Provide effective leadership to the Meetings & Events team, to ensure targets are met and exceeded both for the hotel and individual development
- Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the team
