To be a Meeting & Events Assistant, we want to see talent and passion so that you can deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that both standards and specifications are met, creating a service delivery that will be an occasion for all guests.

Working within the Meeting & Events department, you will be part of a team delivering a high quality of service to our customers, maximising on all sales opportunities.

Through your professional attitude and strong knowledge of our products, you will ensure that you give full co-operation to any customer requiring attention and up-sell at every opportunity.

Key Tasks will involve

  • Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly, and create solutions to any issues that may arise.
  • Serve food and drinks, ensuring that requests and queries are responded to in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Understand your areas of responsibility, ensuring everything runs effectively in line with brand specification.
  • Be fully conversant with the set-up of meeting and events rooms and do mise-en-place prior to, during and after service.
  • Ensure that function rooms are prepared in line with customer’s requirements.
  • Implement the set-up of rooms and other public areas in accordance with hotel standards and ensures that all M&E rooms are maintained to show-round standards at all times.
  • Attain a working knowledge of the event/function taking place, together with the menu and wine list.
  • Collect food and beverages; serve to guests according to establishment procedures and standards.
  • Ensure that all refreshments/lunch for function rooms are served on time as per the weekly function sheet.
  • Communicate and work effectively within a team to ensure every guest leaves with the desire to return.
  • Service meeting and event rooms to the required standards.
