We’re looking for a Sales Estimator to join a progressive, fast-growing Fire & Security business. This national role supports the Sales Director and plays a key part in driving growth by delivering accurate, competitive quotations across fire and security projects.
You’ll combine technical expertise with commercial awareness, producing compliant, well-costed proposals for fire detection, life safety, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. Backgrounds in engineering, sales, or administration are welcome, provided you have fire and security sector knowledge and a proactive, can-do approach.
What you’ll be doing
- Producing accurate quotations for fire and security systems
- Interpreting drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and supporting bid handovers
- Managing multiple tenders and conducting site surveys when required
- Identifying value-engineering and alternative solutions
What we’re looking for
- Experience or strong understanding of fire & security systems
- Knowledge of relevant British Standards (e.g. BS5839, BS5266)
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- Commercially focused, organised, and deadline-driven
- Estimating, engineering, or technical sales experience preferred
