We are seeking an experienced Bids & Tenders Manager to take ownership of the full tender lifecycle, delivering high-quality, compliant, and commercially robust submissions. The role covers bids for installation, maintenance, and monitoring contracts across our full range of services. This is a pivotal position, playing a key role in driving business growth by securing and retaining contracts across both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification through submission and post-bid review.
  • Analyse and interpret tender documentation, specifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop tailored technical solutions and accurate, competitive pricing.
  • Produce high-quality written content, including method statements, compliance responses, case studies, value propositions, and team CVs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive bid library containing templates, standard responses, accreditations, and supporting documentation.
  • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships to ensure operational readiness and delivery alignment.
  • Monitor tender portals and frameworks such as BlueLight, ESPO, and CCS to identify relevant opportunities.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis to improve bid quality, processes, and overall success rates.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience in bid management or tender coordination.
  • Strong background in public sector tendering (e.g. NHS, local authorities, education, emergency services) and large-scale commercial contracts.
  • Demonstrable success in winning installation and maintenance contracts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear, persuasive responses.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop cost-effective bid strategies.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with bid management platforms is advantageous.
