Qualifications Required
- School experience of supporting and teaching primary‑aged children as an HTLA or unqualified teacher.
- A UK bachelor's degree (2:2 or above, although some 3rd class degrees may be considered).
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above (plus Science for primary).
- Right to work and study in the UK, with 3+ years of residency in the UK/EEA, in order to receive the Apprenticeship Levy funding to pay for your course fees.
Postgraduate Apprenticeship Route
If successful in the post‑interview process, the employing school would pay the trainee the first pay point on the unqualified teacher scale. The successful apprentice would be issued an employment contract as a PGTA for the academic year, subject to a successful interview and meeting all the conditions of the offer. GLF’s Trust Apprenticeship Levy Fund would pay the £9,000 training fee for the teacher training programme.
