The Daycare Manager will provide strategic,operational and professional leadership for the Federation's Daycare provision.Working in close partnership with the Head of EYFS, who provides strategiccurriculum leadership across the Federation, the postholder will be responsiblefor the overall management, quality, sustainability and regulatory complianceof the setting. Together, the Daycare Manager and Head of EYFS will ensure thatchildren experience a high-quality, inclusive and seamless Early Years journeyacross Low Road and Windmill Music Federation.
You will have -
The ability to provide highquality support for children’s learning and development within an inclusiveenvironment, as they progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage
The ability to effectively lead astaff group setting long term goals and clear plans ensuring that staffunderstand their roles and responsibilities, monitor and evaluate theirprogress
Strong business andadministrative skills, including budgeting, rotas, and marketing
The ability to prioritise andorganise work under pressure and to meet competing demands
The ability to prepare written reports and plans to the Governing Body,Senior Management Team and relevant inspection services
The ability to collect and analysedata using a range of systems including ICT
The ability to take responsibilityfor the quality of work acknowledging mistakes, find solutions and learningfrom the experience demonstrating interpersonal skills diplomacy and maturityof judgement
The ability to understand therange of factors which creates stress for children and their families, andpromote practice that is responsive to the local community ensuring thatchildren are safeguarded and their welfare needs are met
Thebility to provide trainingopportunities for staff and pursue their own training needs
Thebility to provide anddisseminate excellent standards of professional early education and childcare making links between policies and practices
Thebility to work in responsivepartnership with parents and carers which will promote a sensitive approachthat meets the needs of all children and families
Thebility to initiate,manage, and motivate staff, through change and challenges
Minimum 2 years in amanagerial role in a nursery/daycare setting
Professional employment inwork with young children, families, and communities
Experience of issues relatingto child protection
Experience of managing andleading teams/individual staff
Experience of working inpartnership with other agencies
Experience of working in close partnership with carers and parents
Experience of preparing andpresenting reports
Experience of leading staff training and development
