Windmill Motors based in Bourne, Lincolnshire is looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy, family-run used car dealership and service centre. As a well-established local business, we take pride in providing high-quality vehicle preparation, vehicle servicing, vehicle repairs, and MOT's for our customers. We're looking for someone who is reliable, skilled, and able to work both independently and as part of our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection and Repairs) checks on sales vehicles
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults
  • Complete MOT repairs to a high standard
  • Use specialist diagnostic and testing equipment, including multi-meters and smoke testers
  • Carry out road tests, system resets, and calibrations
  • Replace cambelts and clutches
  • Undertake suspension and steering repairs
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and industry standards
  • Work closely with colleagues to maximise workshop productivity and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
