Veterinary Surgeon – Windlesham Village Vets, Independent Practice in Surrey, Patient‑Focused Care.

4 day week 1 in 3 Saturdays (8‑12pm) No Sundays, Bank Holidays or out of hours work. Salary £36,375–£48,500 depending on experience (equivalent to £45,000–£60,000 full‑time).

Recently upgraded ultrasound, DR X‑ray, multi parameters, syringe driver, Tonopen and Phovia. Morning, afternoon and evening breaks with admin and lunch locked into the diary. Daily team catch‑up in the morning.

  • Experience in first opinion practice. As a small, supportive team, we are not in a position to offer a new graduate role at this time.
  • Build a relationship with the owners and the pet to provide holistic treatment that caters for their individual needs.
  • Demonstrate empathy and effective communication with both clients and team members.
  • Be able to provide thoughtful and solution driven feedback to all team members, including management.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous growth with self-reflection and feedback from others.

  • Confidently value and price your skills, while maintaining the ability to openly discuss financial implications without apology.

  • Two student nurses, one in their final year, offering opportunities for those who enjoy supporting and mentoring developing colleagues.
  • Fully utilised nurse consults - post op checks, second vaccines, Librela/Solensia/Cytopoint injection, anal glands, nail clips, bandage changes, Phovia light etc.
  • Head Nurse with referral level experience and a passion for golden standard care.
  • 2 ANA’s that are the behind‑the‑scenes champions who meticulously optimise our workspace, ensuring a seamless environment that empowers every team member to deliver exceptional veterinary care.
  • A reception team that proactively anticipates needs from both client and the team’s perspectives, ensuring smooth experiences and efficient operations.
  • 5 Vets equivalent to 3.5 full time vets. To name a few of their strengths: Vet advancing towards an internal medicine certificate, a surgical powerhouse, a behavioural medicine expert with excellent ultrasound skills, a rare “unicorn” vet who balances both medical and surgical disciplines, vet with years of emergency OOH experience.
  • Practice Manager that firmly believes that prioritising employee wellbeing and growth directly translates to superior care for pets and their families.
  • Bi‑monthly catch ups.
  • Behaviour consults.
  • Separate dog and cat/rabbit ward.
  • Collaboration with our expert orthopaedic team that come visit us.
