Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based in Thame.
The Machine Operator will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust printing and finishing machinery to produce high-quality printed products.
Daily tasks include performing basic maintenance checks, preparing materials, loading and unloading stock, and ensuring production runs meet technical specifications and deadlines.
The role involves inspecting output for defects, completing production records, following health and safety procedures, and working closely with supervisors and colleagues to resolve issues quickly.
The Machine Operator will collaborate with the wider production team to support continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and working safely with industrial Machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and visual inspection of finished products.
- Candidates should possess skills in using Hand Tools for adjustments, basic maintenance, and setup.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and team members.
- Experience in print manufacturing or packaging production is beneficial.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, production schedules, and safety protocols is required.
- Comfort with standing, lifting, and manual handling in a fast-paced environment is important.
- Prior experience in a factory or workshop setting and relevant vocational training or certifications are an advantage.
