Sales – Business Insurance Sales producers are a key contributor to agency success and are responsible for finding and winning new business insurance clients. Producers must be able to connect with a diverse group of business owners and executives and build strong professional relationships. They advise and educate clients on complex risk and in insurance topics and strategies while working with other client-facing team members. Successful producers are organized and strategic. Beginning a career in business insurance requires strong work ethic, the ability to apply training, and a relatable personality. A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Proven track record of proactively driving results against predefined goals and plans Work history and professional references that attest to significant work ethic A tireless positive attitude in the face of challenges Commitment to excellent written and oral communication skills Motivated by getting to know people and helping them Organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks in a fast-paced environment POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop a pipeline by connecting with prospects via phone, email, social media and in-person visits Prepare significant prospect due diligence through extensive research Provide carriers with necessary underwriting information and negotiation on behalf of clients Protect the interests of the agency by qualifying clients that best fit our model and maintaining quality documentation Establish relationships with local centers of influence within target markets and industries Attend trade shows and networking events within target industries Keep abreast of changing market conditions and carrier products to best serve clients Consult clients regarding insurance plan design and coverages Help clients with loss control and risk mitigation programs Educate clients on coverages, important exclusions and other documentation requirements Work with Account Managers in servicing existing client’s needs, including analyzing their current insurance program, suggesting additions or changes, offering new coverage option, and remarketing the account as needed Review client contracts for insurance requirements and advise clients accordingly Collaborate with Claims Managers and confer with clients on claim related issues and provide information necessary Participate in insurance carrier meetings and functions to develop strategic working relationships with underwriters and stay abreast of evolving products and services Utilize agency document management system to ensure timely, cohesive collaboration of the team for the client’s benefit and accurate delivery of a final policy POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Current North Carolina Property and Casualty license, or willingness to secure and maintain license. Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as other online services, including prospecting tools and social media platforms Willingness to learn, participate in training opportunities and dig in to self-study to learn the industry, carrier coverages and specific niche competitive attributes Strong work ethic and ambition Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in participating in the building and continuous improvement of an agency that serves its clients like no other! #J-18808-Ljbffr
