About the role
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join Windcave’s team in London, Southwark. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for conducting outside and inside sales of Windcave products resulting in a diverse book of business across Windcave’s multiple solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of the payments industry and a strong network of agents or payment partners. You’ll be a true sales hunter, focused on identifying and closing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth in one of our key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic partners, payment providers, technology platforms, and direct merchant relationships across the UK and Europe.
- Own and manage the full sales cycle from outbound lead generation and qualification through to commercial negotiation and deal close.
- Build and maintain a strong, well‑qualified sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations to prospective partners and merchants, confidently addressing commercial, operational, and technical requirements.
- Consistently achieve and outperform sales targets and KPIs, with a clear focus on new logo acquisition and revenue growth.
- Represent Windcave at relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking forums, increasing brand visibility and generating high‑quality leads.
About you
- Legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom (we do not offer sponsorship at this time);
- 3–7+ years’ experience in B2B sales within: Card payments, FinTech or payment technology;
- Proven track record of new business acquisition;
- Strong experience with cold calling and outbound prospecting;
- Confident closer with experience managing complex or high‑value deals;
- Experience owning the full sales lifecycle end‑to‑end;
- Highly self‑motivated, organised, and able to self‑manage;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience selling across multiple verticals (attended, unattended, ecommerce, enterprise, or platforms);
- Exposure to unattended or parking payments (advantageous, not essential);
- Experience responding to RFPs / tenders;
- Professional proficiency in French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, or Dutch;
- Degree in Business, Sales Management, or a related discipline.
