This newly created Legal Secretary role is part of our London‑based Leasehold Enfranchisement & Residential (LER) department and will support the team as it continues to grow. The position can be either full‑time (35 hrs a week) or part‑time (4 days a week).
About the Team
The LER team covers all sectors of the residential property market, specialising in freehold enfranchisement, lease extensions, conveyancing, rights of first refusal, right to manage claims and other leasehold issues. You will be part of a small, highly collaborative group that includes one Partner, two Legal Directors, a Senior Associate, an Associate and two Paralegals, working alongside two other Legal Secretaries who also undertake paralegal duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to Land Registry requisitions
- Prepare SDLT forms in line with firm policy
- Send documents for signature via DocuSign
- Create and update online data rooms
- Order property searches
- Manage Land Registry document orders and investigations
- Input contacts into DealCloud
About You
Applicants should have experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal PA within a residential conveyancing team; experience in an enfranchisement team is desirable but not essential. You must be highly organised, detail‑oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines for clients and colleagues. Experience with NetDocs (legal document management), 3E (legal billing), and document formatting is essential.
In return, you will join a respected team handling high‑value, complex residential property transactions for a diverse range of clients.

You will meet other team members, including at least one Legal Secretary, and can ask any role‑specific questions. Feedback will again be provided.
Offer of employment
If successful, background checks will be conducted by our provider (Giant). Upon completion and validation of your right to work, a start date will be agreed and onboarding will be scheduled.
