The predicted salary is between 15000 - 20000 £ per year.

Winchester Youth Counselling is offering placements to two trainee counsellors from July 2026 until July 2027, with the option to continue the placement until you have qualified. We have space for trainees to work on a Wednesday or a Thursday afternoon (hours tbc). You must also be available for supervision on a Wednesday morning.

What we can offer:

  • The opportunity to build up clinical hours with young people aged 11 – 25 within a supportive, professional environment
  • Weekly supervision in a group of 3
  • Occasional CPD opportunities

What we are looking for:

  • Trainee counsellors entering their final year of a qualification in counselling young people at Level 4 or higher
  • A commitment to weekly supervision on a Wednesday 10 – 11.30am
  • Some experience of working with young people therapeutically or in a pastoral capacity
  • 6 months of weekly personal therapy already undertaken, to continue throughout the placement
  • Student membership of the BACP
